Farewell Ms. Ennis
Ms. Elizabeth Ennis recently retired after many years of dedicated service to the pupils of Christ the King Junior GNS. The Board of Management wishes to acknowledge and thank her for all her hard work initially as a class teacher and, more recently, as principal of the school. The Board and Parish Community join together in wishing Ms. Ennis and her family every blessing in the years ahead.
Book Lists for 2017/2018
Here are the book lists for the new school year.
The 2017/2018 school year will start on August 31st, 2017. School will open on that day at 9:00.
First Class: Garden Time
First Class recently enjoyed one final visit to the school garden, where they checked on their plants and sampled a few fruits and herbs growing in the garden.
First Class: Phoenix Park Trip
We had a wonderful day in the Phoenix Park. As you can see, the children had a fun, active day in the playground at Ashtown Castle inside the park.
First Class: Farmyard Visit
Gardening with Senior Infants
Today we visited the garden for the final time this school year. All of the pupils got to sample some of the edible plants we grow in the school garden. The pupils really enjoyed the juicy raspberries and tangy redcurrants. Everyone sampled the mint, lemon balm and smelled the pretty lavender. 
1st Class: Danceathon
Here are 1st Class enjoying themselves at annual Danceathon fundraiser, which we held recently. A big thank you to everybody who donated money to our school!
Junior Infants: Butterfly Garden
In March the Junior Infant classroom received five caterpillars. The girls enjoyed watching the growing caterpillars and observed them turning into their cocoons. Then, they transformed into butterflies and we released them into our school garden.
Mental Health Wellness Week
In order to mark Mental Health Wellness Week the girls participated in a colouring competition, All of the pupils made a huge effort by decorating their pages using bright colours. Congratulations to the three winners!
