We would like to extend a hearty congratulations to our new Junior Infants who had their first day of school today. We wish you all the best for your future school careers at Christ the King.
And we’d like to welcome back our returning Senior Infant and First Class pupils! We hope that the coming school year is an enjoyable one for everyone.

The 2017/2018 school year will start on August 31st, 2017. School will open on that day at 9:00.

ABCYA has a huge variety of games suitable for Junior and Senior Infants in English and Maths and more.
Starfall has interactive phonics activities and games for early readers.
LearnEnglish Kids has lots of free online games, songs, stories and activities for children to have fun and learn English too.
Sign up as a parent on the Oxford Owl website to access lots of levelled Oxford e-books and activities for children. Excellent website for young readers
Crickweb has many interactive early learning activities for infants.
Gaeilge
Is Feidir Liom is a great resource if you are looking for Irish lessons for yourself. It is suitable for parents helping their children with Irish too
TG4’s area for children which offers programmes in Irish, games, newsletter and gallery
Maths
Cracking Maths is an Irish website with games based on Infant curriculum.
General
Helpmykidlearn.ie includes audio and video content to support parents with literacy difficulties and links to others websites providing more detailed information on specific topics. The site is designed for parents, grandparents and carers of children aged 0 – 12 years and is searchable according to the child’s age.
First Class and Junior Infants visited the Senior Infant classroom this afternoon to sing some songs and recite some poems as gaeilge. As you can see everybody was dressed to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.
